The inspiration . . .  

Inspired by the elegance of chinoiserie wallpapers and fabrics, the series of Flowering Trees grants me the freedom to play with composition, as well as patterns. An extension of my original flower studies, the intricate details of the subject stand out gracefully against the solid background colors.

Flowering Trees is a nod to the “Tree of Life” motif appearing throughout history in folklore and art, as well as an embrace of my own personal exploration of creation.
